Where are you located?
I am currently located in the Dayton, Ohio area. I typically work in surrounding areas and am also open to travel!
How do you decide your pricing?
My packages are priced based on experience, demand, and competitive pricing in the area. If you feel that my pricing is out of your budget but you still want to shoot, please reach out for information about mini sessions and check out my Instagram (@emilysmith.photos) for promotions and specials!
I'm not very comfortable in front of the camera - is that okay?
Absolutely! My experience and educational background helps me guide you with prompts to create authentic moments that will help you look and feel your best. Whether you model professionally or this is your first time having your photos taken, I will guide you and help you feel as confident and relaxed as possible.
Do you post all of your boudoir shoots?
Nope! All of the photos I take have a privacy level set directly by my client- if you want your photos to be just for you, you & I will be the only ones with access. If you're okay with me using your images on my website / social media, I'd love to show them off. Either way, they are your photos and they will only be used in the ways you are comfortable with.
Are there any kinds of photoshoots you don't do?
In general, I avoid large events like weddings with over 200 guests because I am a one-woman show and I simply don't have the manpower to get the kind of coverage I would like to provide. If you are having a large event and want to book me, you are more than welcome to reach out and we can discuss the pricing of adding a secondary photographer.
I also typically avoid family photos because it is not something I have a lot of experience with. However, I am still happy to work with you if you like my style & want me to help capture your family memories!
